Alcohol, Substance Abuse and Society
Presently, on Monday evenings, an educational group for people arrested for driving after drinking or using drugs is held weekly at the Choices MHC office in Monticello. The curriculum is based on A Design for Living - The Hazelden Substance Abuse Curriculum for DUI/DWI Offenders.
The program is designed to offer insight into the consequences of DWI and DWAI, and to provide information regarding the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving skills, the effects on others that alcohol and other drug abuse can carry and myths and misconceptions on addiction.
