It is the policy of Choices Mental Health Counseling PLLC to practice in a manner which does not create the appearance of a conflict of interest.
Consistent with this, regulations of the NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services direct that covered healthcare providers "should not accept former patients of Addiction Treatment Centers (ATCs) or programs funded by OASAS into their practice for professional treatment, care or service for a period of six months following discharge from any ATC or program" [italics added].
When aware that a person seeking or being referred for professional treatment, care, or service at Choices Mental Health Counseling has been discharged from any OASAS ATC within the above proscribed time-frame, appropriate treatment information and referrals will be offered without charge.
